  Cruise schedule

Consistent with the relaxed spirit of the Moosehead Lake region, we don't have a specific cruise schedule or agenda.  We're available to schedule a half-day, full day, evening or multi-day adventure.  Much more than just a boat ride, our goal is for you to relax and enjoy the Lake.  Give us a call (or email) and we'll work out a nice cruise that fits for you.

  Guest accommodations

The NorthWind comfortably accommodates up to six sailing guests.  There is room for everyone to sit in the cockpit, with a table for four and several benches.  The entire cockpit is enclosed with clear curtains, which can be individually rolled up and down to keep everyone comfortable.

Forward of the cockpit, guests can lounge on the nets over the water.  Under the sun or the stars, the nets are an extremely relaxing place to ride.

There is room in both hulls as well.  In the port side, there is a galley with refrigerator, stovetop and sink, a table / double berth and a small double berth forward.  In the starboard side, there is a large double berth aft and a head (bathroom) forward.

Children are welcome.  They typically enjoy everything from the thrill of the nets to a nap below decks.  We have entertained guests from 6 weeks old to well into their 90s.

  Things to do while cruising

(#1) Relax - many people are amazed to find out how completely relaxing it is to go sailing.  We move naturally with the wind, working all the stress right out of you.

See the majestic unspoiled beauty of Moosehead Lake.  From the water to the unpopulated shoreline to the surrounding mountains and big sky overhead, it's a magnificent place to be.

If it's hot, stop and go for a swim.  Sometimes we anchor, sometimes we drift slowly along, and sometimes we pull into remote beaches.  With steps right down to the waterline and a ladder to get back out, it's fun to cool off in the clear Moosehead water.

Pull in to the dock at Mt. Kineo to go for a hike.  Stretch your legs on the shore path or climb to the top.  The panoramic view from the fire tower on top is worth it.

Read a book, take a nap, have a snack, knit a scarf.

Just spend some time with that special someone.

After sunset, look at the stars.  We're a long way from the nearest city lights, so you'll get to see millions of stars from out on the Lake.

Learn to sail.  We're happy to help you.

Feel free to bring your own food and beverages (BYOB).

    Rates

Because we offer flexible cruises, we do not have set rates.  The cost is based on the number of hours the boat is out, regardless of how many guests (up to 6) are aboard.  We suggest at least a half-day 4 hour cruise.

We require a $100 deposit to hold a reservation.
